FAZE Youth Church
EVENTS FAZE events are different from other FAZE activities in a few ways. First, the events listed here happen every year at the same time. Second, these are what we would call the "main events" of FAZE. In other words, if you were going to make any events/activities that we do in FAZE a priority, these are the ones to highlight and attend. These are designed for the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental development of young people.

| WINTER RETREAT - MARCH [THEME T.B.A.] Our winter retreat this year is taking place in ?. This will be an awesome retreat where not only do we enjoy the spiritual aspects of getting away to be challenged in our relationship with God, but we also take time to "play." This year, on Saturday, students will have the opportunity to either go skiing at Cascade, shopping in Madison, or swimming at Great Wolf Lodge. It is a three day retreat that is full of challenges designed to take the young people who attend on a journey that improves their relationship with Christ as well as with each other. The details for this retreat will be available in January. |
| RUSH WEEK - JUNE [THEME T.B.A.] Rush Week is a week long summer camp that FAZE and 412 put on for the young people of our ministries. It is a week of intense spiritual, physical and mental challenges that develop character and experiences in young people that last a life time. This will be our 8th Rush Week and each year the week gets better and better. If you don't believe me, just ask some of the young people who have attended and not only had an amazing week but had their life completely changed by the week. We do Rush Week here in Lake Zurich so that young people have the freedom if they need to, to keep certain schedules that would have kept them from attending the week if it was somewhere else. However we do recommend that students move their schedules around as much as possible to be there for the WHOLE experience. |
MISSION TRIP - JULY ? [T.B.A.] Each year FAZE is going to take a mission trip. What we would like to do is one year do a mission trip in the USA and the next year go out of the country. This year we would like to take a trip to Uganda, but are still working on the details to see that happen. If that does not work we will still be taking a mission trip somewhere in the USA. Keep watching for details on this trip. |
FALL RETREAT - AUGUST [THEME T.B.A.] Our Fall Treat is always fun because it's where we set the theme for the school year. This last year the theme "UPRISING - Living The Revolution." This year we are moving it from September to August so that we can start the school year off with a focused retreat that will prepare the young people of FAZE for that coming year. This retreat is typically held at Hickory Camp and is another life changing event. Yes it is fun but it's also a time of great spiritual awakening in the young people of FAZE. This is one of those events that we talk about for months because of the impact it has. This last year we saw the young people of FAZE adopt over 20 orphans from Uganda. That is almost an entire orphanage. Mark this date on your calendars so you don't miss the retreat that kicks off the new school year. |
D.I.G. - OCTOBER 27th [FAZE FUNDRAISER] D.I.G. is the main fundraiser for FAZE/412 YOUTH CHURCH. Each year we have raised over $8,000 to see the ministry of FAZE continue to impact the northwest suburbs of Chicago. D.I.G. stands for Descending Into Greatness. Simply put, its all about serving. We set up a day in October to serve the community through special service projects. Each young person the month prior to that day raising money by gathering sponsors for a day of work in the community. There are prizes for all who raise a certain amount, prizes for the top three young people who raise the most money, as well as a team prize. It is a great way to see God bring the resources FAZE/412 needs to reach this community. Not only that, it gives the young people ownership of that process. |
| YOUTH CONVENTION - OCTOBER 17TH- 18TH [MOMENTUM] For the last 6 years we have attendED MOMENTUM youth convention in Springfield, IL. It has been a great experience and a lot of our young peoples lives have been effected in powerful ways. This year there is so much that is happening at the Momentum, you will not want to miss it. Over 4000 young people coming together from all over the state to worship and celebrate Christ. Join us for an awesome weekend. |
